Aslong as the events or games that happened were fun during the day I wouldnt complain. But if the entire day was just tourture on the player with reduced gold, and inflictions then it would soon get tedious.

I just wouldnt play if the entire day was one big negitive effect syndrom.

I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure Halloween was, like most others, a variation of a pagan holiday implemented by the church to "cover up" All Hallows Eve.

How about:

Unlucky day:
Everywhere you go you have a 90% chance to lag to high heaven and rubber band everywhere so that any drops you get can be picked up by the nearest person to you that isn't lagging.

Oh no sorry we did that last weekend!

Seriously I'd like the 4...itchy...tasty back

Come on, you cant be serious about losing the money and broking your weapons and all that crap. If that is done that will be the day with less player in the history of GW.

Im pretty sure there are 2 or 3 fri 13ths in a year.
Sorry for the noob question but what happened?

More random happenings not like its a Friday the 13th every Friday

EDIT Found it looked fun lol

just doubling the unlucky points with lockpicks would be too low... perhaps giving 500 points for each broken lockpick...

and to make it more fun... random knockdowns in PvE and PvP... imagine the moment an assassin was going to use shadow prison he gets knocked down or a zb monk gets knocked down while casting zb xD

this would be fun...

perhaps having some crows as part of the armor... and i think friday 13th only happens twice a year... if not only once...

Or just randomly getting dazed or poisoned every few minutes while in PvE would be pretty interesting.

I agree with you here but if their sole point was ONLY those things, then the game would become stagnant for the honest player.

I am all for this idea, I think it would be alot of fun, and a good time to go treasure hunting.

My goodness, reading through some of the suggestions, it certainly won't make it a bad luck day for me, it would make it the worst guild wars day in my life!

I think some people needs to identify the differences between total torture and a bit of bad luck...

In any case, I do hope something special or different will happen in GW on Friday the 13th to symbolize it's a day more prone to experiencing a string of bad luck or unluck events!

Not only lag to high heaven, but just die periodically, so you blame it on lag even though you just got picked at random to be godsmacked by Anet. That would be so funny...
"Don't worry dude, I got your res!"
*attempts to res dead player*
"Almost the...wtf???"

But I'm sure someone would kill the fun and whine to Anet about how a periodical death would kill their UW or FOW or DoA group.
*Note* The death wouldn't defeat your Survivor title...or would it. oO

Why have an event for something that's in peoples' minds? I mean, they either think it's unlucky because they're superstitious, or they treat it like every other normal day. It's not a big deal.

The number 13 is just a number, nothing else.

Fix skill balance instead of pandering to superstitious fools, please.

Why PvE? If it only affects PCs, imagine how much fun RA/TA/HA/AB would be! A whole new level of randomness for the sometimes stale content

I point you to the concise skill descriptions and Cynn's dress...
